Dedicate a specific spot in your house for your business - This space will be your home office. Working on your kitchen may sound practical but in reality this will not be helpful especially when you're trying to focus. More so, not having a 'formal' place to meet your potential clients will be a minus point on your end.
Set specific working hours - Flexibility of hours is an advantage of having a home business. Needless to say, it's also a disadvantage especially when you're working on irregular hours. You will easily feel stressed when your body is not conditioned to work at a set time and number of hours.
Remove distractions - Distractions can come in the form of friends who could be calling for a chat or family members dropping by to ask help from you. Television, back ground music and social media are other forms of distractions too. Discipline yourself not to watch TV or do other stuff while it is your time to work.
Consider a baby sitter - Got an infant or toddler to care for? Consider hiring a baby sitter to care for your little bundle of joy for two to three hours when you need your hands to be totally free to work and communicate with your clients.
